Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game - WVU vs. Florida State

The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Florida State Seminoles will face off in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game to open the 2020 season in a Big 12 vs. ACC showdown. The game is set for Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 and will be played in the 2-year old Mercedes-Benz Stadium which played host to the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, the 2019 Super Bowl and the 2020 NCAA Final Four.

The 16th installment of the nation’s longest-running kickoff game will be the fourth time the West Virginia Mountaineers and Florida State Seminoles have played to date, and the first time since 2010, with Florida State winning all three contests. The Seminoles will continue the ACC’s long-standing tradition of appearances in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game (12), while West Virginia remains the only Big 12 school featured, making its second appearance. It will also mark the first matchup between ACC and Big 12 schools in the game.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 (No Meals Included)
Morning motorcoach departure from Elkins, WV (6:00am) (additional pick-up locations are possible) to begin a wonderful three-day trip to cheer on the WVU Mountaineers! Day 1 is a travel day to Atlanta. Along the way, we will stop en-route for lunch (on your own). Upon arrival in the Atlanta area, we will check-in at our hotel, Embassy Suites Atlanta Galleria. After settling into our hotel, we will board our motorcoach to spend the evening exploring downtown Atlanta (dinner on your own).
Return to the hotel around 10pm.

Day 2 (Breakfast)
A wonderful breakfast at the hotel is followed by GAME DAY! Our group will be dropped off at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the BIG game with the Mountaineers taking on the Seminoles. You will have the entire day to spend in downtown Atlanta. This will give you the opportunity for meals, tailgating and general hoopla. Following the game, you will have additional time to explore and eat. The motorcoach will pick you up later in the evening (time will be designated earlier in the day) to tak you back to the hotel. (GAME TICKETS NOT INCLUDED)

Day 3 (Breakfast)

After another wonderful breakfast at the hotel (check-out) we will depart for home with lunch and dinner stops en-route (on your own). Your return trip aboard the motorcoach takes in the beautiful scenery along the way, while you reminisce on three exceptional days (especially if the Mountaineers WIN) visiting Atlanta, GA! Estimated time of return is 10pm.
