How many years have you been operating tours like this?

We have been in the tour business since 2004 and provide expert knowledge in group travel. We first traveled to Ireland in 2008.

Passports and visas

Passports for travel to European travel destinations in the Schengen area should be valid 6 months beyond your travel dates to avoid unintended disruptions. Make photocopies of your passports and keep them separately.

Can I pay with my credit card?

We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express with an online invoice system. You can also make payments via cashier's check in US dollars.  There is a 3.5% charge to pay by credit card.  This is the fee charged to All About Destinations to process your credit card payment.

What’s the pace like?

The pace of our tours is relaxed, but active. Most of our morning departures are at 8am, some as late as 9am. Breakfast at the hotels begins at 7am or 7:30am. There is a balance between group activity and free time for personal explorations. You’ll have some some free time along the way.  Several of your evenings are on your own following dinner.

Tipping/Gratuities

We suggest moderate tipping/gratuity for your guide, tour manager and driver – this is entirely discretionary.  Tipping at meals is not customary in Italy.

Is airfare included?

No! It is your responsibility to make travel arrangements to get to Dublin by the morning of September 19, 2023

How much luggage can I bring?

You are usually allowed one suitcase and one airline regulation carry-on size bag. We suggest that you pack lightly.  Try not to over-pack.  Check the weather forecast before you pack to determine the type of clothing you will need.  Extra luggage may not fit in our Ireland transportation!

How much time will we spend getting to and from our daily destinations?

Our itinerary is structured in order to minimize travel time – on average we spend about two- three hours a day total on the coach.  The exception is when traveling from one overnight destination to another.  There are times when we will be traveling approximately 3 hours in this capacity.

Who will be leading our tour?

We are well qualified tour managers (Jeff and Lisa). In addition, we use licensed, charming English-speaking, native Irish guides. We have employed licensed guides for our tours to enhance your trip with their local knowledge and personality.

Are your tour departures guaranteed?

We require a minimum of 20 people in a group for the tour to occur.  Once we have 20 people, your tour is guaranteed.  Our maximum number is 26.

Do you provide transfers to and from the airport?

Transfers are provided from the airport to the first hotel and from the last hotel to the airport at scheduled times.

What kind of hotels do you use?

Our hotels are 4 star!  They are both located within historic districts or in panoramic settings.

Will I have my own bathroom?

Yes, you always have your own private in-room bath.

I am traveling alone. Do you take singles?

We have space for single travelers on this tour. Rooms are usually single-use doubles. There is an additional single room supplement charge.

Are the meals included?

There are some included meals in the itinerary.  You are on your own for several of your meals. Vegetarians, vegan and gluten-free diets may be accommodated with advanced notification.

What extra expenses should we expect?

Everything listed on our tour itinerary is included. Your only extra expenses will be for airfare, non-included meals, mini bar, possible laundry and personal shopping.

Do you take us shopping?

You will have plenty of time on your own if you wish to shop, but we do not take you to "shop".

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is prohibited in restaurants, bars and public buildings in Ireland.  We have a no smoking policy on all tour buses and in hotels.

What’s the best way to communicate home while on tour?

Cell phones and phone cards are the most convenient means – you can use phone cards to call from your hotel room.  All of our hotels have Wi-Fi. Many cell providers have European plans that allow you to use your phone while in Ireland.  Please check with your provider for more information.

Can you tell me about the weather?

There is a very good website for worldwide weather history, www.wunderground.com

Do you accept children on your tours?

Mature children age 12 and over are welcome.

Can you recommend a travel insurance carrier?

All About Destinations recommends Travel Guard to help protect you and your trip investment!  Consider travel protection for Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and much more.  There is no reason to travel without it!
