Walking/Motorcoach Tour of Historic Elkins, WV

 

 

Welcome to historic Elkins, West Virginia!  Stop and look – really look – at the historic buildings in downtown Elkins, and you’ll be amazed.  Each block is different, and each building has it’s own story. A guided walking and/or motorcoach tour along Elkins’ historic streets is the best way to see the  buildings dating back to the late 1890’s.  Now, specialty shops, boutiques, local restaurants and businesses fill the buildings and make Elkins one of the most quaint and historic towns in the Allegheny Mountains.

We begin our tour of Elkins by having the motorcoach drop the group off in the county courthouse area.  This area is known as the Wees Historic District and is one of the oldest parts of the town.  Form the wees District, All About Destinations provides a leisurely walking tour in the heart of Elkins.  This allows guests to stretch their legs and see a part of Elkins that other coach tours to the area do not see.  This walking tour features 12 historic plaques, placed on the building’s exterior. The walking tour will take a approximately 2 hours, and will cover

 

 

unless you stop in some stores for The Daily Grind’s famous cannolis or shop at Artistry on Main.

Downtown Elkins Pub Crawl Tour
