Day 1 (Breakfast, Dinner) AAD Breakfast 'n GO!

Morning motorcoach departure from Elkins, WV (8:30am) (additional pick-up locations are possible) to begin a wonderful one-day tour that offers a unique Christmas experience in Pittsburgh, PA with a stop in Canonsburg, PA.  As we depart, enjoy a tasty breakfast sandwich and water/juice courtesy of our partners Great Harvest Bakery Company. Upon our arrival in Canonsburg, we will visit and walk-through the Sarris Candies and Chocolate Factory. A family-owned-and-operated company, Sarris Candies makes premium chocolates and other confections and also operates a candy store and ice cream parlor located next to its factory. Following our visit to the candy factory, we will visit The Strip District for lunch (on your own) and shopping time.  The tour continues with a stop at Market Square and the Peoples Gas Holiday Market.  Inspired by the original German Christkindlmarkts (or "Christmas Market"), the Peoples Gas Holiday Market brings a cherished European tradition to Pittsburgh with an international flair, a touch of local charm, and a pinch of sugar, spice, and everything nice.  the day would not be complete with visiting/touring Phipps Conservatory HOLIDAY MAGIC! Winter Flower Show and Light Garden.  For 130 years, Phipps Conservatory has been a beloved family tradition.  With an exciting Festival of Trees theme, holiday trees are the centerpiece of Phipps' winter wonderland, featuring a tree carousel, colorful poinsettia trees, a floating forest of sparkling trees reflecting on water, a frozen forest with charming topiary reindeer and many more holiday surprises. From a tunnel of lights to icy prism towers, a fountain of lights and more, Phipps' Victorian glasshouse and glowing gardens will delight guests of all ages with illuminated botanical exhibits, whimsical props and unique light displays.  Following the show, we will eat a group dinner at Buca di Beppo in Pittsburgh.

 

Your return trip aboard the motorcoach takes in the beautiful scenery along the way, while you reminisce on the wonderful day of tour and travel to Pittsburgh!   Estimated time of return is 11:30pm.
