Enjoy a day-trip to Amish Country in Ohio! Many different areas of Northeast Ohio are well known for its Amish community and their many farms that populate the countryside. Let us take you away from the hustle and bustle of city life and allow you to enjoy a day full of good old fun on our Amish Country Tour.

Amish people and their traditions attract tourists who are curious to see for themselves what being Amish is all about. On our Amish Country Tour, we’ll arrange a specific tour to fit your needs and time schedule and drive you and your group around a popular Amish community. You’ll see the Amish farms and the farmers working in the fields using teams of horses to get their work done. Enjoy dining on delicious Amish cuisine and enjoy shopping in their unique shops.

We strive for authenticity and want to share expert knowledge of the Amish heritage with you. Step into their communities by visiting locations such as cheese shops, Amish bakeries, restaurants, quilt maker, candle maker, furniture maker and hardware stores. Learn how they live their lives by taking a tour of their schools, going on a buggy ride, dining in an Amish restaurant. The history and customs of the Amish faith will also be explained. The Amish Country Tour includes an Amish country tour guide that is an expert in the Amish culture and way of life. We want your visit to Amish Country to be educational, enjoyable and tranquil. Step back in time and enjoy a quiet and simple lifestyle.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 (Lunch/Dinner)
Morning motorcoach departure from Elkins, WV (6:00am) (additional pick-up locations are possible) to begin a wonderful two-day tour that offers a unique experience in Lancaster, PA (Pennsylvania Dutch Country). Upon arrival in Amish Country, we will have lunch at the Bird-In-Hand Restaurant and then visit the shops of the Kitchen Kettle Village. Since 1954, the Kitchen Kettle Village features everything from bakery goods to gifts. They are also famous for our unique shopping experience, featuring 40 distinct merchants offering everything from locally-made art, pottery and PA Dutch quilts to name-brand favorites like Brighton, Pandora Jewelry, UGG and Minnetonka moccasins. We will then check in to our hotel the Amish View Inn and Suites. Located on an scenic byway and surrounded by Amish farms, Amish View provides the intimate atmosphere of a bed & breakfast with the amenities of an upscale Lancaster hotel. From extra fluffy bath towels to a complimentary hot country breakfast, Amish View's goal is to make each one of their guests feel special. An indoor pool, fitness center, whirlpools and fireplaces make this hotel the perfect place to stay in Amish country. After check-in and freshen up time we will visit Elva’s Barnyard Art Studio for "Chalk Talk" Engage your senses through music, storytelling and the amazing chalk artistry of an Old Order Mennonite woman with a “Chalk Talk” demonstration. Dinner will be a real treat as we enjoy a traditional Amish meal around a farm table. Amish Meals At Home isn’t a typical Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant. It’s something special. Ruth and Samuel Lapp host large groups to their working farm for a true Amish experience.

Day 2 (Breakfast Buffet)
A wonderful breakfast buffet at the hotel (check-out) is followed by departure to the Sight and Sound Theater for their production of "Queen Esther". Set in the opulent yet perilous Persian Empire, Queen Esther is a captivating tale of beauty and bravery. Experience one of the most riveting Bible stories of the Old Testament as it comes to life with magnificent sets, special effects and live animals in this brand-new, original stage production! Celebrate the season as this story unfolds right before your eyes.

Following the show, we will depart for home. Your return trip aboard the motorcoach takes in the beautiful scenery along the way, while you reminisce on two exceptional days of tour and travel to Pennsylvania Dutch Country! A stop will be made for lunch on your own. Estimated time of return is 7:00pm.
